18-Year old Dorset-based Grime MC Isaiah Dreads has garnered much support for his latest mixtape, “Nothin But A Mixtape”, from the likes Pigeons & Planes, Noisey, Complex Phil Taggart, MOBO’s and more, making him one of the artist’s to watch out for going in to 2016. Having also performed at Reading & Leeds festival last summer on the BBC Radio 1Xtra stage, as well as Phil Taggart’s ‘Future Grime Minister’ in September, Grime veteran and pioneer Wiley has praised on his work often. As he continues to grow as an artist with this lead song ans title track from his next mixtape, ‘Lights Turn Green’, featuring fellow Grime artist Saskilla. Isaiah expresses his passion for the music he does, spitting rapidly over a bass-rich, up-tempo grime beat and piano-led melody, as he marvels at the progression of the Grime scene he holds the banner for, and stating his intentions to push his music until he gets to the limelight through hard work and passion. Saskilla’s verse fits in with the idea of the song, mentioning that you must keep your heart and soul in the music, rather than chasing the money and fame.
