J Fresh is back with new visuals from the ‘Fruit Salad’ album, for a grime riddim featuring Grime Originals Monkstar and Godsgift, ‘Tryna Get By’. An nostalgic, up-tempo, bass-infused grime production by J Fresh features equally energetic flows from the emcee’s who spit bars about their honest grind and hustles, just two out of a whole generation that is tryna get by! Monkstar and Godsgift are two focused minds with not time for silliness, and prepared to work hard to get paid and provide for themselves and family. The video sees both emcee’s in contrasting roles, Godsgift as the honest 9-to-5 worker with a legal hustle, and Monkstar hanging on the block, possibly with an illegal grind, but both with the same purpose to make money and get by. Check out the visuals, which also features a heated argument between the artists and the law, after they interrupted on the video shoot.

Only making his debut as a producer in early 2017, J-Fresh has already released two EP’s to critical acclaim (‘Pineapple’ & ‘Banana’ EP), and is now following that up with the announcement of his newest release, the debut album ‘Fruit Salad’, which will surely shut down what has been a huge year for the one-man army.

J-Fresh has pushed his way into the Grime scene as a top producer this year, and has been all over the web with rave reviews of his music, as well as having his music featured on major radio platforms. This album ‘Fruit Salad’ features varied flavours, whilst keeping that gritty grimy sound, but extending to UK Rap and R&B. J-Fresh proves himself to be an eclectic producer with a range of sounds to pick from and mix.

As host of his own show Urban Fire, syndicated to over 50 stations across the globe, J Fresh is also the host of a 60 minute Hip Hop and Grime mix on Kiss FM. Having worked with artists such as 50 Cent to Neyo to D’Banj, Craig David, Wretch 32, P Money, Charlie Sloth and many more, J Fresh recently had support from DJ Target on BBC Radio 1, when he got his first play. He also does regular mixes for Charlie Sloth’s BBC Radio 1Xtra show. J Fresh is currently on tour promoting the Fruit Salad album, performing in 13 cities across the UK.
