Welsh rapper Smokin’ Dan hooked up with JDZ media to drop his StoryTeller freestyle session. Dan drops gully bars over a reggae inspired, smooth Hip Hop beat, adopting a comfy, meandering bouncy flow, sitting on the track perfectly. The Welsh lyricist addresses gripes in his life, letting everybody know what he’s about, peppering his rhymes with impressive wordplay and punchlines throughout. Smokin’ Dan flies the flag for Wales and UK Hip Hop, spitting real bars, and in his own words spitting lyrics as a “Road Poet” and simply “having a word with mics”. If this is only Dan chilled and calmly rocking the mic, be interesting to see a full on rap show from him. The Welshman possesses a great talent for rap, with a style that is internationally identifiable in Hip Hop, making him a potentially big name to look out for in the near future.
