Grime emcee SP recently joint up with JDZmedia for a brand new music video for a new track called “Titanium” which is taken from the forthcoming EP “Remember the Titan”. The bass heavy Trap instrumental features a familiar sample which SP coasts over with a meandering flow on the hook, whilst his delivery in his verses is gravelly. The song deals with haters, SP believing himself, rapping his heart out every time he touches the mic, and going in hard, grinding for p’s, and soldiering on in his own personal battle to survive life’s obstacles and become a success with his music. SP is ready to fight the forces that stop him from achieving his goals, the haters, doubters, and anyone that draws him in to a life sinning. I’m feeling the chorus on this one, smoothly executed and well-written, and SP flows impeccably on the heavyweight production. The narration for the video is superb, filmed and edited by CS Visuals, it doesn’t follow the track’s narrative, but rather SP as he deals with his own pain, contemplating with what to do next, cut in with church scenes of actors mourning someone it seems, and it culminates in SP taking a drive to the church, and with scenes containing fire are added in, it makes for an entertaining, cinematic visual in which you can make your own interpretations about what is going on.
