UK Rapper Joey Mane dropped a new rap track via soundcloud fairly recently, entitled “1st Place”. The production, which is quite lively, energetic with bongos playing over an infectious rythymic riddim. Joey Mane kicks serious bars in the sense that he isn’t playing around with these other emcee’s, telling ’em that he’s back to show them how rap is done, flowing freely over the Hip Hop production, all animated in his delivery, but the fun side of Joey comes out when he drops punchlines, spitting cheeky lines and backing up his talk with this excellent tune. Joey Mane showcases that to be one of the hardest rappers, it’s not about how much weight you move, how much you spent on courvoisier or what whip you driving, it’s all about jumping in the booth, making a hit track with big lyricism, making fools of the lesser lyrical competition.
