Kano – Endz
Kano released visuals for his new single ‘Endz’ recently, which was lifted from his forthcoming album “Made In The Manor” which is available for pre-order on iTunes now. Kano switches up the style on us with this Hip Hop tune, with Kano rhyming over a soulful, ambient and rather mellow instrumental consisting of a constant beat pattern and intense keys. The lyrics see Kano reminiscing and taking you back to his roots, evaluating his career so far and looking at where he hopes to head in the future. Kano’s humbleness shows in lines like “I drive Mercs past poor people, they look at me like they saw a King” which expresses undeserved guilt and shame at his own success and achievements, whilst he also states he would settle for not being “super famous”. Kano pays homage to the ends in which he came from with rhymes that truly get to your heart and connect with you emotionally. Kano is rather reflective and reminiscent in this song as he also displays great lyricism packed with some clever wordplay still. Check out the video too which sees Kano in the studio as well as taking a walk down some old haunts, interspersed with vintage footage from Bound 2 Blow DVD in 2004.
