KD – 90s Baby(Solo)Version
UK Hip Hop rapper KD dropped a brand new track via his soundcloud recently, entitled ’90s Baby’, which is produced by DOPFUNK, and co-produced by Sean D. The lyricism by KD is a trip down memory lane for those of you either born in the 90s, or growing up then, bringing nostalgia as he rhymes about his early memories over a soulful Hip Hop instrumental. KD’s excellent story telling takes you on a journey, as you hear about his experiences growing up in his community, dropping hints at his early influences in music, from UK Garage to Grime, with crews such as So Solid Crew as major influences. KD also lends the chorus from The Notorious B.I.G’s “1970 Somethin’”. Evidently, the 90s shaped KD for who he is, seeming wise above his years with such values and ideas about how to change the world, whilst coming across as someone who had music around him from early, music becoming his love and life. KD takes it back to the old school with smooth flow over the funky beat. Grab a free download below and leave us your feedback in the comments section . . .
