South London MC Kid Bookie recently unveiled a brand new music video for a track called ‘Grown’, taken from his latest mixtape ‘Some Kind Of Hate’. The track features Urban singer Christie on the chorus, with the lyrics reflecting the growth in Kid Bookie’s outlook on life, with Kid Bookie starting out in life and taking it in, and it is apparent that as he grew, Bookie became more wise, from rising above hate and greed and using his success as a metaphorical middle finger, and realizing that fame isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, as well as ignoring critics, as Kid Bookie becomes the bigger man. This song is all about spreading positivity and caring for one another, as well as not fearing to speak your mind and be yourself. Kid Bookie spits rapidly, flowing superbly and his delivery is quite astounding, whilst Christie adds an urban vibe with his smooth singing vocals on the superbly written and crafted song. The music video is fantastically shot, as it firstly tracks Kid Bookie along a street, as he encounters those who he spits about, with all having some kind of hate, and Christie also steps in to the video on the hook.
