Kid Bookie – Hate Ft. Brotherhood & Maxsta (Prod. Lewis Cullen)

Kid Bookie

Grime MC Kid Bookie recently released a brand new track from his forthcoming mixtape called ‘Hate’, and features fellow MC’s Brotherhood and Maxsta. The production is by Lewis Cullen, and is a Hip Hop refix of King Krule and Zoo Kid’s ‘Out Getting Ribs’. The track’s lyricism conveys the many forms of hate that each of the mc’s witnesses or has experienced, from Kid Bookie feeling hate himself, hating on the mainstream, the state of the country, and also the fact that artists aren’t loved until they have made it. Menace rhymes about the snakes and back stabbers, and people that talk behind your back, wishing for change and hate to be banished, whilst Blaze states that he would never put that hate he does have in music, rhyming about the struggle coming up, and the state of the music scene, and it’s ethics and morals. Maxsta on the other hand drops some humorous lyrics, showing hate for the haters, showing love though for Bookie and the many collabos they have made together. All four mc’s drop thought-provoking lyrics over the instrumental, all connecting with the theme of the song, and delivering their own perceptions on hate, whether it is real life or music related, and they all go in with rapid flow.
