Kid Bookie x Scrufizzer – Outkast (Take Off Your Cool Acoustic Cover)

Kid Bookie

Recorded a year ago, Grime MC’s Kid Bookie and Scrufizzer did some improvisation, with a different vibe, in which they covered Outkast’s ‘Take Off Your Cool’. Playing a ‘rusty’ guitar as they said, both artists sung in unison on the acoustic instrumentation, strumming the melody of the original terrifically, laying down their own rendition of the part, the hook, originally sung by Norah Jones. For a quick session, it’s not bad at all, both Bookie and Scrufizzer’s fab singing voices fusing together for an awesome sound. Maybe some spitting wouldn’t have gone a miss. Both did the song justice, one of my favourite Outkast songs post-stankonia. Have a listen below and tell us your thoughts and opinions in the comments section . . .
