Logic & Last Resort recently released a new track and visuals with GlobalFaction entitled “Krispy Kreme” and features a superb lineup of accomplished UK Hip Hop lyricists including Sway, Durrty Goodz, Mighty Moe and Big Frizzle. I myself perceive this track as a celebration of Hip Hop and Black culture and togetherness, trying to spread a message. With production by Last Resort which is reminiscent of Hip Hop in the 90’s, especially from the Bronx, all the featured artists rhyme bringing their own opinions to the track, Logic rhymes about poverty and sharing, Sway kicks lyrics about his lady, showing love for them and praising them in the same light as say 2Pac’s “Keep Your Head Up”, and he pieces the words together brilliantly, excellent delivery! Goodz speaks of his knowledge of Hip Hop through the ages, questioning his own selfishness when there are kids starving, and highlighting the underlying racism in the music industry. Mighty Moe spits with a effortlessly laid back flow, whilst People’s Army’s Big Frizzle lends a soulful voice to the track at the end. The video features all the artists in the video along with a few cameo’s from the likes of Mic Righteous, featuring a BBQ scene, the video celebrates and promotes togetherness and caring and sharing with each other, all races and nationalities in one place and getting along. The video ends with words of wisdom from Nelson Mandela who recently passed away on love, hate and racism, RIP.
