M.O.N.G.R.E.L – Livin’ Enough feat. GLEEM
The Bar Staff’s M.O.N.G.R.E.L is back with a brand new EP, “Explodable Stock”, and this is track 4 from that release, called “Livin Enough” featuring Gleem. The soulful Hip Hop production features Mungz rhyming about the hard graft, getting by on what little he has, watching the pennies, trying feed his family, doing what is necessary in the city, which is full of negativity anyway, to get paid. The wordsmith goes in to more deeply saddening situations, rhyming about a community where an addict can’t even stop traffic, where that type of thing is so shockingly acceptable. Gleem also spits about the gritty lifestyle and city streets, the victims in a messed up world, warning to shape up before you lose your life, or end up in prison.Gleem spits excellently, fast-paced, rapid delivery and meandering flow, impeccable! This soulful, blues-vibe, jazzy Hip Hop production gives me the feel of the hustle and bustling grind that these two artists must be putting in to get by, whilst they both kick wise lyrics on the track, educating me on the way of life. Brilliant, deep, meaningful message, take a listen and let us know your thoughts in the comments section below . . .
