Toddla T was joined by Grime MC’s Meridian Dan, Novelist, Jammer, Strategy, Kerwin and Serocee last week for special Xmas Cypher. The six mc’s filled out studio four at the Maida Vale, as they spit energetic flows over much Grime and Trap/Bass instrumentals, including the likes of Jammer on a hype ting, spraying many familiar bars including ones from ‘Declined’, Meridian Dan started off the cypher with some pars for rival mc’s. The cypher featured rising Grime star Novelist, who went in, spraying ferocious bars over Dizzee Rascal’s ‘Respect’ beat. Jammer bought in Chimpo who went on to deliver excellent lyrics filled with a couple punchlines, also with skippy flows, whilst Strategy spit over a instrumental with a Garage vibe, and Kerwin was also impressive, in a three way Ragga/Grime segment with Novelist and Serocee.
