East London Grime MC MicTy aka Microphone Tyson unveiled his new mixtape this week called ‘Av Dis, which features seven grime tracks with production from Jammz, Lolingo, Lington and Spooky, with a feature from Big Zuu. The mixtape includes ”Off To Murk’ produced by Jammz, which features a hook from MicTy that refixes the theme from Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs, enforcing MicTy’s work load in the grime scene, as he pars mc’s in the process. MicTy takes to Lolingo’s ’64 Bar Statement Part III’, a bouncy, bassy grime production riddled with synths, as MicTy makes a statement of superiority, expressing his dislike for inferior mc’s and artists jacking his flows. ‘Who’s This [SSP]’ is another Jammz production, as Big Zuu joins MicTy on the wobbly bass and orchestral strings instrumental, as Big Zuu delivers rapid flows, both shelling it with bars emphasizing their non-stop flows and lyrical prowess. MicTy steps in the ring on ‘Swing In The Ring’. Throwing punches on a Lington production, swinging at any contender looking to step in the ring and go round for round with him in a clash. The final track on the mixtape is the Spooky-produced ’96 Bars Of Shellz’ where once again MicTy throws several low blows at his enemies on a punchy grime instrumental which features a familiar sample, pulling in all of his shelling skills as he goes ham the whole track with rapid delivery, parring mc’s, emphasizing his graft and his inevitability to murk and reach the top. MicTy displays astounding shelling skills on this project, and know for his sets and freestyles, the transition from that to the studio and this collection of strong grime tracks, shows that MicTy is ready to step to another level in the scene.
