Charlie Sloth and Newham Generals premiered a brand new single recently on BBC Radio 1Xtra, entitled ‘Soundboi Killa’ and produced by Bass Producer Toddla T. The outcome of this collaboration between Footsie and D Double E with Toddla T is a fusion of Grime, Bass and Reggae, with a heavily bass-orientated instrumental with a bounce, as the two mc’s shell solid bars over the dutty beat laden with ‘retro computer game style synths’, as they deliver lyrics daring anyone to ‘step in the ring’ with two lethal soundboi killas with lyrical prowess and techniques to down the competition. Footsie and D Double E employ simplistic rhyming skills yet their metaphors are big! They destroy the beat as always with ferocious flows and precise delivery.
