For GRM Daily’s twelfth episode of their new series “Rated”, they hooked up with London lyricist Little Simz. The female spitter proceeded to duppy a jazz funk, come retro chilled boom bap hip hop beat in her laid back jovial manner. The flow is off the wall, meandering, random yet precise, the lyrics are quintessentially British (check the line about working in cash n carry, marrying Harry and a dog named Sally) and define the young lady as quite a quirky writer. Little Simz shows why she is one of the hottest emerging Talents in the UK. Imagine a young Lauryn Hill mixed with Azalea Banks thems are the levels!
