Rude Kid recently unleashed his hotly anticipated new EP of 140 bpm Grime instrumentals ‘Noah’s Ark’, compiling four brand new productions from one of Grime Music’s most innovative and sound-distinguishable Producer’s in the last decade. Having held a private EP launch with 100 guests at Relentless Studios, comprising of sets from Heavytrackerz, Melody Kane, Delinquent, Maximum & Frisco (BBK), Rude Kid + Ghetts, Rude Kid has already released two tracks from the EP, ‘Oh My Bass’ and ‘Wiley Kat’, and the EP was premiered for 24 hours exclusively on Pigeons & Planes ahead of it’s official release last week.
Rude Kid has provided some of the biggest production for emcee’s including Skepta, Ghetts, Wiley & JME over the last decade, of which nothing of the like has been heard before. Known for his Alien and Electronic synths, dark bass and elements of Drum and Bass, Dubstep and Electro, tracks like ‘Alien’ and ‘Oh My Bass’ reflect that. ‘Wiley Kat’ gives a nod to the early Grime era and also pays homage to Godfather of Grime Wiley, with a trudging Grime beat and classic computer game synths. ‘Voice (VIP)’ is another up-tempo Grime beat, consisting of a thumping kick beat, whirring, futuristic synths, perfect for any set and fit for an emcee to lick down.
Rude Kid has already teamed up with Ghetts this past year for the One Take Riddim, and instrumental that clocked up an impressive 5+ million flocking to Youtube to view remixes from Chip, Stormzy, Youngs Teflon and Cadet, Yungen and more spray over the beat. The ‘Noah’s Ark’ EP is likely to continue that trend, as the masses of DJ’s, Producers and Emcee’s grab at these unheard beats. Rude Kid is set to flood the scene with the new EP!
