Derby-based Hip Hop artist Staxxy unveiled a brand new music video recently for a track entitled ‘Last Night’, taken from his latest mixtape ‘BoomBox’. Staxxy rhymes over a bassy Hip Hop instrumental, with a mellow, tinkling melody. The lyrics from Staxxy give the listener an insight in to life, as he expresses his own pain through his experiences of pain and struggle through out his life, feeling the depression from turning to crime in a moment of madness to help provide for his family, to recognizing that some of those around him are of no help, Staxxy also emphasizes that he has no time for fakes, stating that he is all about the realness, whilst he also stresses his own belief in doing for himself and standing on his own two, and going out and getting what he wants with grit and determination. Check out the visuals to go along with the track, on which Staxxy flows effortlessly and with conviction, and which are raw and unglamorous, rather focusing on the lyricism, nevertheless smoothly shot and edited.
