Strika and JB link up for a collaborative EP “The Side Effect” which features six tracks mixed and mastered by whYJay, and released via Knowledge Is Power Promotions. The EP features some straight fire grime bangers like ‘State Ya Name’ produced by Hybrid Beatz, featuring Xtra alongside Strika and JB, and Hip Hop banger produced by Altin Demaliaj, featuring a killer hook on the thumping beat, as Strika, JB, Geo and Icey remind the listeners and anyone concerned that no one knows what they are capable of. Strika and JB link up well and complement each other’s style on the EP. They both go back to back on the second verse of ‘Watch!!’ which is produced by Mista Kay. Both switching it up with fast, impacting flows, both posing a threat to inferior competition. ‘Break It’ is a more personal track about the duo’s struggle on the come up and the absence of good people in their life. JB and Strika kick some true stories depicting their experiences of drama and the side effects on the title track ‘Side Effect’, a sauntering, melancholy Hip Hop track full emotion which is produced by Cazar Beats. The final track on the EP features Xtra and Eze as well as JB and Strika, and explores how certain people are nosey and always asking about other’s life story, one way to deal with them is no comment.
