TIZZY GANG – OPPS NEXT DOOR Vol. 1
Tizzy Gang have just recently released their much anticipated album “Opps Next Door”, now officially out on all digital retail stores as of 16/6/17.
Tizzy Gang is made up of artist’s and producer’s from UK to Canada such as Tre Mission (Canada), Merky ACE (who is at the centre of Tizzy and holds them together), Cadell, Nasty Jack, Jason Packs (Canada), Kokane, Vic Santoro and many more.
The album brings together artists, some who may have not even met each other, for collaborations to bring their own vibes and skills to each song, all artists clicking to make this an explosive grime project.
“Opps Next Door” opens up with the energetic ‘Steeze’ produced by and featuring Tre Mission alongside Merky ACE and Cadell. The three emcee’s set the tone for an album that is quite anti-social, conveying the meaning of the album title. OppsNextDoor compares the artists featured on a Splurt Diablo (Merky ACE) beat, Nasty Jack, Tre Mission and Merky himself, to opps living next door. They are the opps that will always be there, causing havoc and trouble where ever they go.
Vic Santoro collaborates with Canadian Jason Packs on the trap banger ‘Round Table’, a booming song with heavy-hitting delivery from Vic and Jason who take no prisoners, rhyming about haters can suffer from their aggression.
‘Junk Food’ brings back Merky ACE, Tre Mission and Cadell on a Mike Haze produced trap riddim focusing on the hustle and the trio’s money making schemes. ‘MF’ is another stand out track, with Nasty Jack, Merky ACE and Cadell going on ham on a moody, gritty grime beat heavy on the bass. MF, or motherfucker, is an aggressive reminder of who you gonna have to deal with. Filthy Gears is also on the production credits for ‘Eski’ featuring Nasty Jack, Merky ACE, Tre Mission and MIK, the latter on one of his two appearances. ‘Pay Da Bills’, produced by Filthy Gears features Lord Cutty who delivers a verse and hook rich in Jamaican Patois and influence. Cutty, Merky ACE and Vic Santoro again spray bars exploring their hustle, a means to paying the bills like real men do.
The album also features the bangers the singles ‘Old School Roadman Jacket’ and ‘Shekel’. Lord Cutty and Vic Santoro have their own solo tracks with ‘Mr. Chin’ and ‘Speculations’, both produced by Tre Mission, who produced exactly half the album. The two come together with Merky ACE on a Splurt Diablo produced bass-rumbling grime-come-trap banger ‘How Comes’, the second time this particular line up have come together to create and explosive track with Grime, Trap and Reggae/Dancehall influences.
Each artist on the album brings their own style, skills and individuality to each track, experimenting with the line ups to deliver refreshing music over and over, and mixes Rap, Grime and Trap perfectly.
