Don’t Flop bring you another Rap Battle, this time between Mr Tongue Twister and Twisted Pennys, taking place in Leicester with Twisted Pennys having the home advantage in another On-Beat Battle. Twisted Pennys was first up in the battle, with round 1 being explosive, as addressed Mr Toungue Twisters age yet being childish for it, and it all culminated with him stating that Mr TT needs anti-aging cream. He used polysyllabic rhymes for some parts of his bars which was also fantastic.Through out the battle as a whole, Mr TT ribbed in to Twisted Pennys for his skinny stature, calling him a ‘skeleton in a tomb’, and that he looks ill, almost to where people think he sells pills. Twisted Pennys, in my opinion, had a lot of humorous pars, his leads up really entertaining, even better when he dropped the punchline, for instance in round 3 when he delivered long-winded abuse towards Mr TT, ‘leaking’ some rumors about him ‘sucking 61 dicks’, which the crowd was in uproar over. At other times, Twisted Pennys was crude with the bars, calling Mr TT a rapist, and stating how he would run up in his yard and link his girl on a next ting, and one point called him a retard. In round 2, he also broke down Mr TT’s career, saying it isn’t working. Mr TT on thew other hand, he excellently delivered a lot of bars which displayed his wordplay skills, and managed on countless times to use TP’s name against him, with one line in round 1 as follows, ‘What’s a penny worth, going pound for pound with a twist’, and in round 2 questioned how much he had and that he was going to get robbed. He ended that round by stating that he would put TP in a box like a coin collector which was quite creative of him. Overall, in the battle Twisted Pennys had more ludicrous and comical bars which were sharp and quick-witted, and whilst Mr TT had some hard hitting metaphors, and his delivery and flows were in nod doubt astounding, I would give this one to Twisted Pennys.
