Taken from the new album “X Infinity” from author, poet and rapper Watsky, comes this Anderson .Paak and Kush Mody produced ‘Midnight Heart’ featuring Josh Dun of TWENTY ONE PILOTS on drums and Mal Devisa on singing vocals in the chorus. Both visuals and the song are powerful, featuring the former Def Poetry Jam contestant throwing lyrical jabs and a flurry of punchy flows on the rockesque Hip Hop beat, rhyming about deception, specifically how money or lack of changes how people act towards you. Mal Devisa lends her soulful yet rebellious vocals to a chorus that speaks on how you can never be satisfied and that no matter where you turn the possibilities are endless and never ending, and with Watsky stating he’s not done changing, it seems there is a message to be taken from song, and the idea of change is one of them. The video depicts Watsky as a boxer stepping in to the ring for a bout, vintage-looking boxing posters and the sepia effects take you back in time for a moment. Watsky’s fight in the video possibly represents his ability to keep on fighting.
