As the release date for Torii Wolf’s debut solo album draws near, she has dropped epic visuals for grand, DJ Premier-produced single ‘Big Big Trouble’. Leading with scratches from Preemo, who delivers a stomping, orchestral Hip Hop-influenced beat. Torii’s strong, angelic-like vocals are soft, soothing and as they creep over the beat, just like the spider that can be seen in the shock imagery that the video contains.

Speaking on the visuals, Torii Wolf explains to Vibe: “Creating a visual for this record was very special for me.  It was really important to visually emulate the juxtaposition of love and lust in an animalistic way . . . The way that a female spider eats their lover is similar to the feeling of being lustfully consumed by another human.  The video both conveys and captures the underlying emotion of knowing that you’re going to catch your prey before they do; and knowing what you’re capable of doing to them.”

“Big Big Trouble’ is a song that was created after we were already ‘done’ with the album” DJ Premier stated.  “I started playing around with the “Uh-Oh” scratch, which set a foreboding tone; you know “Trouble” is coming!  Torii immediately gravitated to it.  The Papoose scratch made it all complete for the lyrics to spill onto the track.”

‘Big Big Trouble’ is the second single released from Torii Wolf’s forthcoming debut album, Flow Riiot, produced almost entirely by DJ Premier, the first time he has taken the reigns, and he has also shown that he has respect for her as an artist by making her the first signing to his label To The Top (TTT). Torii has already released ‘Free’ featuring Macklemore, and produced by King Of Chill.
