North West London’s 22 Year Old artist and producer SAMSON returns with a new video, following on from the release of his latest single ‘TWENITU’. The latest in his ‘SAMURAI’ freestyle series, episode 4 sees SAMSON deliver a rendition of Drake’s ‘Champagne Poetry’. SAMSON rejuvenates the first half of the original by adding in extra drums, 808’s and distortion to the beat, then takes his own production, spitting in what is his signature, distinctive flow, and a rough, gravelly tone to his vocals, set to soulful background vocals. A raw, uncut one take freestyle, with subtitles added to the video, SAMSON showcases incredible lyrical prowess, dropping some gems in form of knowledge and lessons, all learnt from his own experiences, delving into his struggles as an artist, but also emphasizing his determination and hunger to achieve success, but also his confidence and belief in his ability.

As SAMSON continues his incredible rise, ‘SAMURAI SAMSON EP.4’ further shows how versatile he is, with a unique sound that he has become comfortable with over the years, acknowledging that he now feels okay with being the “odd one out”. You just have to look at SAMSON’s influences to see that he is destined to be in his own lane, making alternative music, drawing inspiration from genres such as Hip-Hop, Funk, Jazz, Rock and Grime, and influenced by artists like Tyler The Creator, Little Simz, Joey Badass and Chance the Rapper. SAMSON has also received national radio support from Tiffany Calver on BBC Radio 1Xtra as well as BBC Introducing and many community radio stations.
