Invasion Alert representative and Grime emcee Vader recently released a joint Ep with producer Concept Child entitled “Grown Up Music” which features 8 tracks with guest features from Hazman, Jaykae, Docta, MDR, and Opiffawana, all giving this a mixed and eclectic sound on each track, with Vader himself showcasing his coming up and maturity in his overall sound, bringing a host of different flows, and spitting a wide range of heavyweight lyrics that cover all of the bases.

My personal favourites include “Open Minds”, a great instrumental by Concept Child which features Docta, with both spitting about their past, reminiscing on more good times in their life, yet moving forward in their musicality. I love the instrumental which stands out from some Grime production as a different approach.

“This One Goes” is a straight up Grime tune by Vader featuring Hazman, and sees both emcee’s spitting straight fire, showcasing masterful flow and delivery. “We Ain’t Got Time” follows in nature, featuring Jaykae and Hazman, on a more Trap-influenced bass instrumental with all dropping big bars, with some great wordplay as well. “I’m Grown” features a heavy bass and is a Trap/Grime beat, which sees Vader on his own go in hard with great firm delivery, bars make an impact and sees Vader grow up on the track so to speak, and his flow is perfected on this track.

Overall, Vader comes with it the only way he knows how, providing solid lyricism and flows, and Concept Child adds his wide range of differing beats from Trap to Grime on the mixtape. BIIIIIG Mixtape available for free download below. Check it out and leave us your thoughts . . .
