South East London emcee and one of The Square’s leading artists Novelist is set to release the “Sniper EP” very soon. Released via Oil Gang, the EP features 4 Grime instrumentals by Novelist who is such a talented and multi-dimensional artist. All four beats sound nothing like anything I have heard, especially in a long time in the Grime scene. Novelist puts his own stamp on these, possibly inventing a new Grime sound all together. “Sniper”, “Meee 2 Remix” and “Messy” sound as if they could be featured in a video game, a bloody, gruesome one at that. “Christmas Riddim” is a hard-hitting instrumental again, featuring claps and has a siperb rhythm to it.
