CAS – The Number 23
North London’s very own enigmatic MC CAS has recently released a brand new album “The Number 23”, in which he gives you many already heard tracks as well as some unheard, new ones, spanning the genres of Hip Hop, Trap and Grime as well a hint of Dubstep. CAS who has been described as Horrorcore by some, but definitely with a dark and original rhyme style that often boasts of drug use, bloody and gory violence, and cheeky and witty lyricism put across in CAS’ no holds barred, raw style serves up this album which compiles his newest material since his return as this elusive character. Bangers included are “T.R.O.N”, “Baraka”, “All Hallows’”, “Spaced” featuring Sheg Nasa, the dark and twisted “Charlotte” as well many new tracks with features from Merky Ace, JME and remixes of well know tunes by the likes of Roska and Faze Miyake. CAS is something of a cult phenomena in the Grime scene, and what with not really knowing who he is, claims that he is really dead make for an interesting character, and CAS’ music also draws you in with the creativity in his song writing, his lyricism is insane, sometimes shocking, but he has come with a new approach and the Dead Team will only keep growing!
