UK Hip Hop due The New Blxck has recently dropped their second music video with Link Up TV, called “Infinite Views”. Yet again, both rappers showcase their impeccable lyricism over a Hip Hop beat which features a metronome, depicting the time in which the track is based on. Rhyming about how time is precious, and being able to capture it and put in to words, making each line of some value. The New Blxck once again go in to the subject of black history and slavery, rhyming about how history is repeating itself, pointing out various things which hold us back, from gun violence to drugs, and women who are just seen as objects. These guys show us how poetry and views can move us, they’re lyricism definitely striking a chord with me. The two rappers pointing out things that keeps a generation back, refusing to fall victim to society’s way, If more people jumped off of the negative stereotypes of Hip Hop nowadays, and maybe took more carefulness in their lyricism and the views they portray, we could make Hip Hop golden once again. The hook in this track samples the likes of Dizzee Rascal, highlighting that The New Blxck are representing for us, making music to unite every town, every Hip Hop head. Great poetic lyricism, reminds me of Hip Hop back in the 90’s when it had meaning. Check out the music video below, which makes use of effects which resemble reflection, both artists taking a stroll along London roads, showing you their view of their community.
