Courtney Bennett releases a brand spankin new live performance on her official youtube channel, with an original composition entitled “Motives”. Written with #TheInkkwell back in 2011 whilst in Atlanta, Motives not only showcases Bennett’s excellent emotively creative song writing skills but also stages a platform to show off her sweet sensual vocals. Ms Bennett teamed up with superbly talented guitarist @CrafterUK to deliver a delicious acoustic rendition of her song. Motives is a beautiful track about a broken relationship, getting over that person who was once so special to you and trying to come to terms with the breakup. Courtney shows why she has the talent to make it to the top, as easily one of the best singer songwriters in her field. I can hear Motives being played on any of the top RnB/Soul compilation albums or on the hottest radio stations on your dial. Motives is deep, and shows real emotion, but at the same time has the sing a long factor that all great songs have. Having long suspected that Bennett has that worldwide star appeal as an artist, pre-conceptions are confirmed with a track that holds as much strength as the popular covers she performs so effortlessly. Making a version of another song is one thing, but making your own hits that others will want to cover is another feat entirely.
