Grime emcee’s Grim Sickers, from Bristol, and Kannan, from Sheffield, clashed in one of Words Are Weapons latest Grime Clashes last year, and with a quick apology from the team for the quick edit for this unplanned release, the clash gets under way, kicked off by Kannan who goes in with superb flow, dropping impressive bars, hitting a nerve with a mum joke, saying that she looks like an Afghan, drawing one of the biggest reactions from the crown in the round, Grim Sickers replies with bars, questioning his opponents ability to spin him, going in with head topping lines. Kannan comes back with embarrassing disses about Grim and his girlfriend amongst other bars, stating that his forehead is bigger than Grim’s fan base which also draws a massive reaction. Grim Sickers goes in with some great wordplay, managing to get in a lot of references to WWE and wrestling. In round 2, Kannan compares Grim to looking like Apu from Simpsons. Grim Sickers seemingly gets annoyed with Kannan keeping jumping in on his go, but apart from the small technicalities, Kannan continues his onslaught, and in my opinion takes the clash.
