Newham General D Double E took to his official soundcloud to release the first song taken from forthcoming project Bluku Music. The track entitled “Wolly” sees D Double spit gully bars over dark and moody Grime/Dubstep hybrid production, with eerily melodic bassline/keys, deep horn stabs and haunting synths. D Double peppers the rugged percussion, using his lyrics to lament rivals and competition not on the levels he’s on and ridiculing the fakers. With humorous punchlines and imaginative wordplay, not to mention his trademark vocal delivery/flow D Double manages to create yet another urban classic, filled to the brim with quotables that will surely smash it in the raves up and down the country. “Wolly” is a light hearted industry diss and statement of dominance for one of the scenes most influential figureheads.
