Big Narstie | What’s The Story? Brixton Glory [Music Video]: SBTV
SBTV and Big Narstie bring you visuals for the latter’s latest music video, “What’s The Story? Brixton Glory”, which is taken from Narstie’s latest EP of the same name. Directed by Wavey Nate and Aaron Smalls, the production by LDP sees Big Narstie show off his eclectic taste and versatility with a homage to his hometown of Brixton and also Oasis. The Grime/Trap production mixed with the vocals from the original for the hook create a new and fresh sound, with Narstie spitting deep bars about his past, growing up in his town, and noting the point when things changed, and his life became stressed. Big Narstie talks about drugs, crime and violence in Brixton, without glamorising the lifestyle, banging out pain bars in effect, on this deep and meaningful tune. Big Narstie puts conviction in to his delivery, flowing effortlessly on the production. The video shows Big Narstie in the studio at first, in front of the mic with an acoustic guitar in one hand, then mixed with footage of various people and life in general going by on the Brixton streets. This is a big tune from Big Narstie, one that could eventually bridge the gap between Grime and the mainstream or even Rock.
