The latest Words Are Weapons clash took place between Corny and Kritikal recently. Kritikal from Brighton went up first against Corny from Bournemouth, in a Grime Trial which didn’t fail to impress and was top-notch considering it wasn’t a full out clash. Kritikal’s delivery was superb, going in rapidly with bars taking swipes at Corny’s appearance, warning him that he will get taken out of the clash, and getting the wheel up by referring to Corny as looking like Lady Shocker’s twin. Corny had skippy flow, straight away coming in with potent bars, aimed at Kritikal’s girl, bars that show her up as ‘sket’, gaining two wheel ups in this incredible sparring session. In round 2, Kritikal made a mockery of Corny’s game plan in the clash, a s well as showing confidence in the clash, Corny hitting back just as good. Some of the highlights in this round were Kritikal dissing Corny for the way he spits, making use of double meanings, getting the crowd gassed by showing up Corny with his lack of ability to draw girls. Corny went hard also on the Trap beat, getting to wheel ups, once for a diss towards Kritikal’s family and second for just superb technical ability. Krititkal got off to a flying start in round 3 with a nasty diss towards Corny’s mum, Corny displaying nice punchlines. I don’t think a bonus round could separate these two talented MC’s, Corny would win if I had to choose, only edging it, but leaving it up to you decide.
