Northern/Midlands collective Rhymes Galore have unleashed their brand new tape #ThisIsGrime Volume 1 via soundcloud, mixed by Dj Midgee, the mixtape features tracks from Rame, K Dubz, MaxDon, Scheme, Kannan, and many instrumentals from the likes of K1, J-Beatz and Darq E Freaker. From the off, the energy is provided by Rame on ‘Jokez On Lock’, a diss towards fellow MC Jokez, as he unleashes deadly lyricism and headshot bars towards him. MaxDon also has some heated bars for MC Simms on ‘Not About That’, and Rame brings more headshot bars on ‘Strap Hard’, which is remixed by Dj Midgee in a Dubplate Special. The rapid flows and delivery is broken up by equally gully instrumental production from K Dubz’ ‘Smelly Pum Pum’ instrumental, featuring a pumping bass, and lively claps, snares and hats, and all round electronic madness. You also have the likes of Mr Mitch’s remix of J-Beatz’ ‘Injunction’, a fast-paced, energetic, reverberating, electronic Grime remix by Mitch, which keeps up the pace, along with excellent, top-notch mixing from Dj Midgee.
