DJ Oxide took to his official soundcloud to release a reworking of Pop Dance hit “Rather Be” by Clean Bandit. The So Solid producer gives the euphorically poptastic track a more harder edged, choppy, twisted thumping feel. Oxide adds a classic deep bassline interlocking perfectly with the chopped sampled melody of the original, using the vocals sparingly for the breaks. The percussion is an intricate 2 Step Garage pattern, with pulsating kicks, scattered hi hats and rhythmic snares all with a delightful swing to the beats. Oxide manages to create two separate tracks with the remixed vocal section and the bass line drop parts, giving a familiar song a new lease of life. DJ Oxide once again proving his versatility as a musician and confirming his status as one of the worlds finest EDM producers. Big tune!
