Slim Shady returns with an ode to old skool hip hop in this epic 80’s inspired banger entitled Berzerk. Eminem runs the beat ragged with his sporadic flows and inventive lyricism. The track is a rock rap tinged party anthem, sampling the Beastie Boys, leaving Em to get his commercially creative juices flowing. Even though Berzerk is meant to be a mainstream, rap/rock/pop release, Mr Mathers goes nuts, proving to die hard fans of his early he still has a bit of The Real Slim Shady about him. Fans of his darker, more aggressive, p*$s taking style needn’t worry as this is obviously meant to be one of the single releases. Take it for what it is a commercial Hip Hop tribute, with the twisted genius that is Slim Shady going berzerk on the beat. A nice warm up for the new Marshall Mathers EP 2, due out November.
