Fresh from performing at Maida Vale session for Radio 1, Thetford emcee Franki Fraize releases a brand new music video for his mesmerising new single, ‘Tell Me A Word’ produced by One Bit. Tell Me A Word epitomizes the conscious thoughts of a British lad on a night out, the lyrics catching and conveying the feeling of that time. The ambience of the Garage-influenced electronic beat complements the visuals, shot at night and which follows Franko as he walks lonely down a high street, the surrounded street lights, kebab shops and other people out on the town passing him by. Franko Fraize’s rapping style is thoroughly British, somewhat refreshing for the UK Hip Hop scene at present. His lyrics are articulate and well delivered with clarity, and with charm and wit. The Thetford lad has had monumental year, supporting Rudimental and Chase and Status, and has completed a festival period, performing on the 1Xtra stage at Reading & Leeds festival. Releases from Franko Fraize, including ‘Only’ and ‘Together We’re Lost’, recorded alongside Drum and Bass heavyweights Fred V & Grafix, have gained him further praise for their ‘”sonic refreshment”.
