The official music video for Kid Bookie’s “Evolution 2” is unveiled, featuring a huge line-up, including international rappers and Shady Records artists Crooked I (Slaughterhouse), Kuniva (D12), and fellow UK MC’s Scrufizzer, Dot Rotten, Lady Leshurr and RnB Singer Samantha Mumba. UK Grime comes together with US Hip Hop on this immense Trap beat, Crooked I and Kuniva spit chopper flows,delivery is impeccable as can be expected, as so is lyricism. Scrufizzer jumps on the track with his fizzy flow,showing the US that we can also spit ferociously and rapidly, Lady Leshurr also goes in displaying some great wordplay as well as superb delivery. Dot Rotten kills it,and Kid Bookie too. Samantha Mumba on the hook is maybe the downfall, not as brilliant in terms of her vocalism, sounding slightly out of tune. The second part of the chorus on the other hand is quite good ending the hook on a high. With Danny Yen on production, this track features some big, accomplished spitters, and is like Bookie’s own “Worldwide Choppers” to rival the likes of Tech N9ne and Busta Rhymes. The visuals incorporate slick word animation for Crooked I’s verse, portraying Kuniva in the booth being televised, following the same style for Dot Rotten’s verse, bringing in more kinetic typography for Kid Bookie’s verse, and studio shot for Lady Leshurr and Scrufizzer. The visuals are energetic and captivating, complementing the track superbly.
