“Sober” is the first single taken from Mikiah’s debut album “Broken Promises, False Truths” which is forthcoming on Knowledge Is Power later in the year and covers a wide range of genres from new wave R&B, Hip Hop, Dancehall, Dance and much much more.
The single is yet another track from Mikiah’s debut album, following on from ‘Weed & Hennessy’, to tackle the subject of alcohol and intoxication. The production on the track kicks off with ataractic piano keys and a Jazz-influenced bass guitar riff, before Mikiah’s lethargically delivered, slurred vocals come in the calming beat, describing the effects that alcohol has on him both mentally and physically, and which is revealed that Mikiah has become dependent, to a certain degree, on alcohol and not able to stand to be sober.
