Link Up TV caught up with South London Grime artist Badside member Proton for a #StreetHeat freestyle for their new captivating series. Proton goes in on a Grime come Trap instrumental that packs a punch with the bass as well as possessing a infectious rhythm, plus a second, a Hip Hop beat. Once you get pass the wind problem, Proton actually spits bars with such clarity, going ham for at least 6 minutes, spraying heavyweight bars depicting a street mentality, having the gyal fiending for him and his music, and going on to spit lyrics about the whips that he drives, and proving what it is to be a true lyrical g. Proton duppy’s the beats with some sick punchlines too, as well as great flows, switching it up, and rhyming perfectly, reminding me of the likes of Biggie.
