Link Up TV have dropped the video for Scorcher’s brand new single ’99 Riddim (My Ting)’ featuring two of his The Movement peers and fellow emcee’s Mercston and Ghetts. The new banger is a raw, and original, nostalgic throwback to the old school grime sound, produced by Scholar who puts the early Ruff Sqwad stamp on the tune, a “rude and effective reminder that Scorcher is part of the grime scene blueprint.” The trio display infectious flows to match the skippy beat, and the lyrics are abrasive, cheeky and braggadocio. The look of the visuals are throwback also to old school grime, with purposefully vintage style set footage, plus performance shots from the artists in locations that are gritty yet eye-catching, the street art as a background to Scorcher’s reload worthy performance, the wardrobe the three step out in and the city skyscrapers and blocks of flats.
