Don’t Flop bring USA bring you this brand new Rap Battle between US Battle Rapper’s DNA and Sonny Bamboo, from New York City and Atlanta respectively. DNA went up first after the coin flip, dissing Sonny by under-rating his talent, using some 50 Cent flows to get across his point that Sonny has slipped in his career recently. DNA comes across as quite confident in that he is above Sonny lyrically, as he rips in to his opponent with potent bars. Sonny replies by pulling DNA up on his appearance, going for mum jokes and and just like DNA, dropping some nice punchlines, getting some reaction with some humorous bars about DNA’s missing tooth, delivering his bars in a hilarious voice. DNA is impressive with some superb wordplay, making references towards Sonny’s supposed team of choice, and some lines which set them up in some kind of film, ending up with Sonny being dead. DNA wins round 2 by interacting with the crowd, who respond with DNA’s slogan, ending on a high. Sonny continues with a bombardment of disses on DNA’s appearance, and with decent delivery too, as he emphasises on his wordplay, some of which he rhymes about about what commercials he thinks DNA should be in. DNA likens Sonny to Vanilla Ice, and hits Sonny with a slew of sport metaphors, and kills it with some one liners and excellent delivery. DNA gets up in Sonny’s face with some deep, harsh bars, but Sonny doesn’t let it phase him, responded with some funny bars, pulling DNA up on his content, stating that DNA is the cops’ best friend. In my opinion, the more the battle went on, it became harder to call, DNA was strong in the first round, but I think Sonny may have taken the last round, as for the second, it was a close one.
