The Avengers (Jammz, Mayhem NODB & Blay Vision) – ‘Rah’
Grime supergroup The Avengers continue the momentum they have generated, revealing visuals for one of the stand out tracks from their newly released eponymous LP. ‘RAH’ combines elements of Grime and Drill, with production provided by Jammz and JackDat, for an energetic track featuring rapid flows from Jammz, Mayhem NODB and Blay Vision, all three delivering lyrical content and sharing their own experiences as artists, putting in the work to pursue their end goals, realizing their own self-worth, and acquiring a winner’s mentality.
Each has their own individual story to tell, coming from different areas of the UK, each with their own styles and nuances, with The Avengers LP bringing together different elements of music from the UK scene, Ultimately, what brings Jammz, Mayhem NODB, Blay Vision and Buggsy together is a common goal, a shared mentality to win, and the genuine passion for creating exceptional music, utilizing their own skills to combine in to one formidable force to be reckoned with.
The visuals for ‘Rah’ are no-nonsense, straight to the point with no gimmicks. Filmed by Blacka, he employs a minimalist approach to pin the focus on the lyrical content, yet the addition of ominous, red colour grading, expert cinematic-like pans and zooms, and intricate edit overlays combine with visuals that see the artists vibsing together over some drinks. The video compliments the vibe of the song’s thought-provoking lyrics and ponderous melody, creating a masterpiece that their listeners can find themselves in a zone, relating and reflecting.
