Creative Music bring you the first release from East London emcee Simon Ryan, ‘Winner Riddim’, produced by reputable production duo Star One. Simon calls upon some of Grime’s legends to curate a heavyweight grime anthem, with an all-star line up that includes Nasty Crew’s Hitman Hyper, Ozzie B of Morefire Crew, Firecamp’s Knowl£dg£, Brit Asian Shizzio and legendary award winning UKG artist MC Viper, each emcee having had an illustrious career in their own right, creating historic moments, influencing and paving the way for generations to come,

With Simon Ryan leading on the track, Simon and friends deliver gritty and energetic bars on a bouncy yet militant grime production from Star One, which was originally named ‘Ice Cold’, attestation to the classic grime sound and West Coast-influenced synth. All emcee’s take no time in heating up the instrumental however, bringing with them their own individual, distinctive personalities, but all sharing the same energetic enthusiasm, penchant for wordplay, and a common theme that relates to the winning mentality that has served them well and taken them to the heights that they sit at. There are football references in abundance, as they all relentlessly gun it down with the lyrical artillery..

Simon Ryan, who interestingly went to school with Sharky Major in East London, isn’t without supporters, as ‘Winner Riddim’ was reviewed by Shan Selena on behalf of Grime Originals, plus added to the Grime Originals playlist by Sharky Major, and was also selected as Tune Of The Week by Missla and DJ Sollie on Flex FM.
