Brotherhood duo Blaze and Menace took to soundcloud to release a remix of Manchester Rapper and former USG representative Geko’s track ‘Baba’. The pair deliver rhymes over a rhythmic, pounding Hip Hop instrumental sounding like afrobeat, as both Menace and Blaze’s lyrics take place around the theme of relationships, speaking to their girlfriends mother who won’t let them date her daughter, pleading their case that they have changed and stopped going out of a night and partying, done some growing up and facing up to responsibility, with the two mc’s using reverse psychology and stating that she is the immature one, not willing to sit down and talk for the sake of her daughter whom they hope to have a future with and give a better life to. Menace and Blaze showcase great story telling skills and writing skills as they switch between first, second and third person narrative expertly, touching upon a subject that many many young lovers may be able to relate to.
