West London producer Nu Breed teams up with London rapper Sakez for a collaborative mixtape titled ‘Forsaken’. The project features 14 original songs with Nu Breed handling the production on 12 tracks & contributions production wise from Ellis King (SBTV) & North West London producer Litez. The project aims to showcase some of London’s rising underground talent as well as introducing Nu Breed’s production.

Forsaken has been in the works throughout this summer with Sakez & Nu Breed releasing their single “Changes” which got featured on BBC Radio 1Xtra as well as being featured on LinkUpTV. The “Streetwave 3” freestyle was the next release from the London duo, which got played on BBC Asian Network and was hosted by S-ense Media. Another more recent video which was put out after the mixtape had been released was “Art of Rhyme”.

Inspiration for the project comes from the feeling of being abandoned by the “system” that is put in place. However, sticking to the theme of being forsaken, Sakez tells the tale of a young male in inner-city London trying to forsake the exact system that he is trapped in. Having started off as a Grime producer, Nu Breed decided to ditch the expected raw production style and opted for a more melodic and cinematic feeling, to provide the listener with a complete contrast of one extreme to another, combining gritty street stories with a melodic backdrop.

“The aim of the project is to depict the mindset of a young man and his purpose in this world. With various concepts and subject matters, we intended to create a cinematic experience for listeners, so from the moment they press play, they immediately enter another world and with a unique style of production, we aim to bring something new, exciting and original to the table.”
