Production trio The Heavytrackerz’ latest release is the “SpaceShip Music” EP, featuring four solid Grime come Trap instrumentals, including a freestyle by Maxsta on the Space Cruizer beat which features the East London MC shell down terrific flows and heavyweight lyricism over the instrumental. Back to the beginning, the theme of outer space production is evident, from the title track which is atmospheric as well as being layered with techy soundbytes. Experiment 101 follows the same kind of structure, again having a pumping which slowly fizzles. The other beat is The Moon Landing which is probably the most heavy-hitting bassy instrumental on the EP, as epic and immense as the landing would actually be for real, with the trio incorporating steel pans of some sort, in such a fashion to build an eeriness to the production.
